The Scout F-1 is an American orbital launch vehicle developed and operated by NASA's Langley Research Center, representing one of the later configurations in the long-running Scout rocket family. Manufactured by LTV Aerospace (later Vought Systems), the Scout series was the United States' primary small-satellite launcher for several decades, providing an affordable and reliable means of placing scientific payloads into low Earth orbit.
