The Minotaur C is an American small-lift orbital launch vehicle developed and operated by Orbital Sciences Corporation (later Orbital ATK following a 2015 merger). Originally known as the Taurus XL, the vehicle is a ground-launched, multi-stage solid-fueled rocket designed to deliver small satellite payloads into low Earth orbit and sun-synchronous orbit. It represents an evolution of the earlier Taurus rocket family, which was itself derived in part from heritage components used across Orbital Sciences' broader launch vehicle portfolio.
